New Generations for Serbia and Kosovo

The main goal of this project will be the reinforcement and promotion of cooperation between young Serbs, Albanians, Roma, Gorani, Bosniaks, and other minority communities who live in Serbia and Kosovo. It is important to underline that thanks to the support we received in 2007 from the German Embassy and the German Ministry for Foreign Affairs a cooperation protocol was established between young people from Universities in Serbia and Universities in Kosovo and this project is the logical continuation of what has been up to now a successful alliance.
Our projects implemented to date have prepared a fertile ground for future cooperation on common project activities involving youth from Serbia and Kosovo. We believe that it is crucial to harness positive tendencies and energies to achieve further normalization and stabilization of relations.
This project will be focused on the current situation of minority communities in Kosovo and south Serbia, the role and responsibilities of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) and the International Civilian Office (ICO) in Kosovo, freedom of movement between Serbia and Kosovo, problems arising from new travel documents that are being issued in Kosovo and media influence on inter-ethnic relations between Serbian and Albanian societies.
The project will be jointly implemented by Ligo Lex Legis from Pristina, Media Pulse from Leposavic and ELSA (European Law Students’ Association).
The project is supported by the Embassy of Germany in Serbia and the German Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
